Berry Banana Smoothie: Paleo Breakfast Recipe

Quick and easy paleo breakfast smoothie recipe. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day and this is one of the healthiest ways to start!

Ingredients:
– 1 banana
– Several tablespoons of frozen mixed berries (blueberries, blackberries, rasberries and strawberries)
– Spoonfull of honey (optional)
– 1 tablespoon cacao powder (also optional)
– 1 tablespoon coconut flour or almond meal or fresh walnuts or any other kind of fresh nuts
– 1 tray of ice cubes
– 1/2 to 1 cup of almond milk
– water

  3. This is basically my fruit smoothie breakfast for years except that I don’t use almond milk but I use almonds and I don’t include cacao powder. I add coconut milk to make it more filling because I do my swim training after that. Sometimes I add pineapple to the mix.

  4. What is the benefit of adding the coconut flour? I’ve never added flour to my smoothies and just wondering if there is a real need. ? 🙂

  5. just a heads up your typical ( SILK ) Almond milk at your grocery store has an ingredient in it thats used to Deice planes in the winter

  7. Nice….adding nuts like walnuts, or sunflower seeds adds good “mouth feel” to the smoothies too SexyP. It’s cheaper for your readers to realize that frozen fruit from a bag is nearly as good as fresh fruit….paleo can get expensive otherwise…keep some frozen fruit in the freezer everyone…and adjust the ingredients every other day..and u won’t get bored….Thanx SexyP

  8. A good tip that I recommend is to blend everything first before putting ice. The frozen fruit act as ice, well, because its frozen. It also makes blending a bit more easier. However, that is just my opinion.
